It’s that time of year again; the most wonderful time of the year. But it’s also the time when we panic about picking out the perfect gift for our loved ones. Never fear, Sex and London City is here to help. We’ve picked out six options, ranging from the high price end to the lower end to suit all budgets, so dig in and thank us later.
Olivia Burton Watch £80
Understated, elegant, yet wonderfully unique at the same time; Olivia Burton knows style. If our very own Nixalina gives it a stamp of approval then you know it’s a winner. This option is perfect for both your other half and a sister who is looking for some gorgeous arm candy. The one I’ve suggested isn’t the only option available. There are plain ones, animal motifs, flowers… You name it. And all the metal colours under the sun, whether you prefer rose gold or silver. Leave this beauty under the tree on December 25th and there’ll certainly be smiles all round.
Missguided Over The Knee Boots £50
You simply cannot go wrong with over-the-knee boots. Well, that is unless you get her size completely wrong (we can’t help you there, sorry!). These bad boys are glittery, heeled, comfy AND super stylish. Boots are a staple for winter and we’ve got a whole load of miserable weather to come…so get booted now.
Real Techniques Berlin Brush Set £24.62
Any savvy beauty gal will know – the brush makes the product. That’s why beauty items such as these sassy brushes from Real Techniques are a crowd pleaser. They’re a multi-award winning brush brand and Nixalina herself has most of their range. You can’t go wrong!
Topshop Panelled Crossbody Bag £29
If you’re planning to hit the town, life is much easier with a crossbody bag. This satchel can be jazzed up or dressed down for all occasions. If you need that pop of colour with the LBD, a cute shoulder bag is just what the wardrobe doctor ordered.
Vamp London Cuff Earrings £55
If you’ve followed S&LC for a while now, then you’ll know that we’re a huge fan of Vamp London. We’ve admired their collections for year, and their latest ‘Attitude’ range is no less deserving of our attention (bear with us on a full blog post about this!) These stunning earrings are incredibly classy and are perfect for transferring between a day at the office to a night on the town.
Goals Journal £21
It may be a cliché but screw it. Make 2017 your year and do it with the help of a gorgeous planner. Get those goals, dreams and wishes down on paper and then do everything in your power to make them come true. It doesn’t matter what it is; maybe it’s starting a blog of your own, achieving that fitness goal or ticking something off your bucket list.
Bring Prosecco Doormat £35
This one requires no explanation. If she drinks Prosecco, she’s going to want this bad boy.
Cactus Pyjamas £20
I don’t know who came up with the tradition of wearing brand new pyjamas on Christmas Eve, but they were certainly onto a winner. Cacti prints have been all the rage recently, so continue this trend of with a snuggly pair of PJs. Why not let her unwrap them on December 24th so they can wake up on the big day in comfort and style?
Zara have come out with some real winners this autumn / winter, and this scarf is one of them. Trust me, I’ve been in and stroked it myself (in a non-creepy way, I promise) and it really is super-soft. You never know when the British weather is going to warm up, so this is a gift that can keep on giving. It works for partners, sisters, friends and even stylish mothers. There’s even different colours available, so you can pick out their perfect match.
Missguided Purple Feather Heels £35
Ohhhh hellloooooo heels. These are beyond adorable. That is all.
Gucci Drop Earrings £130
A bit more pricey-pricey but surely, that smile after she opens these will be worth it? Gucci is a staple and these earrings combine the iconic double G with a touch of class.
Great British Gin Tasting Kit £44.99
Obviously not the best present idea if she’s a tee total or hates gin. HOWEVER, if she is partial to the odd tipple or a gin & tonic (or 5) then this is a fantastic little present to brighten up the day. Or, just get her hammered and let her attempt to sing Christmas carols.
Most women love candles (and I am one of them) so you can never go wrong with one as a stocking filler for any female member of your family. Flamingo Candles are a small British start-up but have taken off in the past year or so thanks to Twitter and Instagram – they are incredibly photogenic. Each one is hand poured right here in the UK, and they specialise in more unusual scents rather than your plain old vanilla. This particular one is Cinnamon Buns; a classic Christmas scent, but there are plenty of others to choose from.
