Back in September I was hired as a Make-Up Artist for Rimmel London Cosmetics in collaboration with Glam Media UK, to film their London Fashion Week 'Get the Look' campaigns...teaching you guys at home how to re-create the beauty trends straight from the runway. Having rocked it last time, I was asked if I would do it again this February for LFW A/W '12, and happily said yes!
In the studios all day, I was joined by the same model Lizzie (who is an absolute superstar) and we giggled our way through the filming process, which was a light relief for me when the pressure is on to perform a decent make-over on screen, emulating the major designer's trends and remembering the products I'm using. Luckily. Rimmel London as a brand has such great cosmetics it made my job much easier!
I was trying to keep a straight face here...wasn't happening!
This time round we covered Felder Felder which was the 'barely there' matte look, Alice by Temperley which was the 'rosey glow' look, House of Holland for the fiery bright lips and Vivienne Westwood for the over-all brown tones. Beauty Tip: From what I have seen on the runway, the autumn trend is all about a fresh face and keeping the eyes very natural and plain. Which is nice and easy for us to do!
The 'Get the Look' lfw tutorials will be posted very soon, but for now here's some behind-the-scenes snaps from the filming. Dress is £75 from Frank & Doll...perfect for filming as it's high neck line, black and stylish!
